This course contains units that form part of a nationally recognised qualification that prepares people for professional real estate practice and is an essential criteria in the application for a real estate license. The qualification is designed for people working in both residential and commercial property, including business broking and stock and station transactions.

Course Structure
As per the Property and Stock Agents (Qualifications) Order 2019 [NSW], a person may be issued with a certificate of registration as an assistant real estate agent or as an assistant stock and station agent if the person has satisfactorily completed all of the following core units of CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

Study Options
Leverage Academy offers this course by blended learning consisting of distance education and face to face tutorial workshops (live virtual classroom). Participants are assessed through a combination of written assessments, case studies and other practical assessments. Tutorial assistance and guidance is provided by qualified trainers and assessors.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Leverage Academy offers Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL). RPL requires students to undertake a series of assessments for a qualification or units of competency. These are aligned to an individual’s previous learning and are deemed equivalent to the learning outcomes of the components of the qualification or unit(s) of competency, being obtained through this process. RPL is a complex and rigorous assessment method. Leverage Academy recommends this assessment method be investigated as an option for individuals who are currently working in the real estate industry or hold current qualifications or units of competency relating to the real estate industry. Leverage Academy requires individuals who are producing evidence for this assessment method, to provide current evidence.

Career Progression
Upon successful completion, a Statement of Attainment will be issued. This course meets the requirements of Fair Trading NSW for those applying for a NSW Certificate of Registration under Part 2 of the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002. These units may be used towards completing CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. Certificates of registration as an assistant agent will be issued for a maximum duration of four years, with no extensions of time or further renewals beyond that time. This restriction is designed to ensure assistant agents progressively upskill into a full agent licence and improve their overall knowledge and expertise in the industry. Assistant agents will be required to complete a Certificate IV qualification as part of their CPD requirements during the term of their certificate of registration. By the end of the four-year period,the certificate holder must either apply for and obtain a class 2 licence or cease working as an agent.
