Clarifying CPD 2024/2025
Everyone is confused regarding CPD. We received the following email from the Property Commissioner this morning. We quote directly from the correspondence:

Dear Bailey
We recently sent an email regarding the new mandatory underquoting course as part of the 2024-25 continuing professional development (CPD) requirements, and we unintentionally included licensed strata managing agents.
The new mandatory underquoting course is for licensed agents engaged in residential real estate sales only. Please disregard this email if you are not a licensed sales agent, as you are not required to complete the course. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

It is no wonder that we are all a little bit confused regarding CPD for this year. Below is a summary that we hope will help.
- The CPD year is now 1st July until 30th June.
- If you are a Licensed Strata Manager, you are required to do five hours of compulsory CPD.
- If you are a Licensed Property Manager, you are required to do five hours of compulsory CPD.
- If you are a Stock and Station Agent, you are required to do five hours of compulsory CPD.
- If you sell Commercial Property or a Commercial Property Manager, you are required to do five hours of compulsory CPD.
- If you are a Property Manager of Holiday Rentals, you are required to do five hours of compulsory CPD.
- If you are a Business Broker, you are required to do five hours of compulsory CPD.
- If you are a Seller of residential property, you need to:
- Complete five hours of compulsory CPD; and
- Complete the TAFE course on Underquoting.
The training in five hours of compulsory CPD has been designed and designated by the Property Commissioner.
